MIRUM® is the world’s first plastic-free, 100% bio-based, alternative to leather. Unlike other vegan leathers, MIRUM® is made from natural rubber, plant oils and waxes, natural pigments, and minerals. As a naturally circular material, at the end of its lifecycle, MIRUM® can be recycled into new MIRUM® or ground up and returned to the earth. This was a clear choice!
The majority of leather alternatives currently on the market are simply variations on conventional plastic.

Vegan waxed cotton
As a sustainable and equally durable alternative to leather cords, our vegan waxed cotton cord is a perfect alternative to leather cording. It is made from fatty acid wax condensate and is plant-based & completely biodegradable. Unlike traditional waxed cords, which are made from beeswax, we use a Vegan waxed cord made of Fatty acid, wax condensate. This is used in our Black and White laptop and Ipad cases.
